IDT 7095/8095 Client Proposals
In IDT 70905/8095, we are attempting to give students "real world" experiences with "live" clients. At the beginning of each semester of the course, student form design teams. The teams then select from the client proposals that have been submitted. Because it is left up to the teams' discretions, I cannot guarantee that any one proposal will be selected.
Proposed projects must be a learning or performance problem that can be addressed through an e-learning (i.e., computer-based or Web-based instruction) or performance support options. This project must be small enough to be completed in one semester. The teams will analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate the project. In order to complete the formative evaluation process, teams must have access to real learners. Throughout the semester teams will "consult" with me on project progress. Only in extreme cases will I intervene in the client-team relationship.
As a client you will be the subject-matter expert for the project. You will approve learning content, assessments, instructional strategies, as well as navigations, layouts and graphic designs. You will also provide access to the learners necessary to test the e-learning product.
I hope you will consider completing the proposal form and allowing our students to consider one of your projects.
