CareerWe have a one-hundred percent placement rate for our graduates. Our graduates design, build, and manage instructional environments in K-12, corporate, and higher education settings. Some of the places our graduates have been hired include FedEx headquarters, Union Planters/Regions Bank, International Paper, Le Bonheur health care, Methodist health care, First Tennessee Bank, and Autozone. We also place several students each year in internships and practicums with these employers and other local organizations such as the Naval base in Millington, Sedgwick CMS and Regions Bank.
Applied Service
Our students work with nationally recognized faculty on applied research with schools and corporations and outside projects brought in under contract. We are able to offer K-12 and corporate emphases in our program, and we offer the only K-12 instructional computing applications certificate program in the area.
Research
Students conduct research in public schools, work with the Center for Research on Education Policy (CREP) on K-12 technology integration and school reform, design and develop professional development activities, work in Artificial Intelligence through the Institute for Intelligent Systems, and conduct research with the Campus Elementary School, which is attached to the education building.
