What: Writing a Research Paper with Inspiration® Webcast

Graphic organizers are effective tools for writing research papers. Join us on February 12th to learn how your students can visually plan and record information to write an organized and well-supported research paper using Inspiration. Lucy Belgum, our Education Development Manager for Language Arts, will host a 45-minute webcast demonstrating how use visual techniques to select and narrow a topic, use prewriting notes and organizers to formulate the research paper, and write a thesis statement and support it within the paper's body.

2009 AECT International Convention - Call for Proposals

It's not too late! There is still time to submit your proposal for this year's AECT International Convention. This year's convention, Integrative Approaches: Meeting Challenges, will be held in Louisville, KY, October 27-31. The UM IDT program was fortunate to have students and faculty attend and present during the 2008 Convention and we hope to continue that success. Correction: Web 2.0 Special Interest Group January 28th Meeting Moved to February 10th.

The AIM Lab and Advanced Learning Center are co-sponsoring a Web 2.0 Special Interest Group (SIG) beginning February 10th, facilitated by Dr. Clif Mims, Assistant Professor from Instructional Design & Technology.

Due to illness and scheduling difficulties, our first SIG has been rescheduled and will be held on Tuesday, February 10th – 11:30 – 1:00 as a Brownbag Lunch in the ALC Learning Lab, FIT 226; drinks and dessert will be provided.
