In the showcase, each team of students will present a 20-minute overview of their project and product. This is a professional presentation, and the content of this presentation will represent an executive summary of their projects. This semester there are two strong, successful teams.

PB&K Solutions has focused on designing and developing an electronic performance support system for medical students studying ophthalmology at UT Health Science Center. Their clients are Dr. Bill Brescia and Dr. William Morris. One of their most unique challenges is to create a system that is scalable and maintainable. PB&K Solutions' primaries are Kathy Youngblood, Patti Liddell and Becki Barnhardt.

Theme: The 3rd bi-annual Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) Research Symposium seeks proposals for sessions designed to advance research and practice leading to the creation of a new model for Teaching and Learning at-a- distance. The theme for the symposium is 'The Evolution From Distance Education to Distributed Learning'.

IDT Program faculty and students wish to say a heartfelt "thank you" to Tim Matheny of Apple Computers for the success of our recent workshops.

Tim tirelessly presented multiple workshops over two days on digital video editing, advanced podcasting, and the Mac iLife and MobileMe applications.

More than 150 undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and community members participated in the training.

Dear students, alumni and friends,
I would like for you to add April 27 at 6:00 pm in the AIM Lab (307a Ball Hall) to your calendars. Within our Instructional Design & Technology 7095/8095, project teams will be presenting synopses of their projects for this semester in a Project Showcase of live clients. Their work represents approximately $15,000 - 20,000 worth of instructional development. In the showcase, each team of students will present a 20-minute overview of their project and product. This is a professional presentation, and the content of this presentation will represent an executive summary of their projects. I particularly encourage current students in our programs to attend in order to have a stronger vision of the requirements of the course and how your coursework prepares you for this course.

IDT Open Advising Session on March 30th and April 2nd


The IDT faculty will host a general advising session for graduate students on Monday, March 30th, from 4:30 P.M. to 6:00 p.m., and on Thursday, April 2nd, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in the AIM lab (Ball 307A).

If you are unable to attend either session, you may contact your advisor for an advising appointment as needed.
