RefWorks Classes in October/November

Introductory RefWorks classes will be held in October/November on the following dates:

Friday, October 9, 3-4 pm
Tuesday, October 13, 3-4 pm
Friday, October 16, 3-4 pm
Tuesday, October 20, 4-5 pm
Friday, October 30, 3-4 pm
Monday, November 2, 1-2 pm

All classes are held in McWherter Library, Room 225. Registration is not required.

RefWorks is a web-based bibliographic software management tool, licensed for use by University of Memphis students, faculty, and staff.

2010 Spencer Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Announcement

The Spencer Foundation would like to announce that we are currently accepting applications for the 2010 Spencer Dissertation Fellowship for Research Related to Education, and would like to ask for your help in bringing it to the attention of others. As you may know, approximately 20 Fellowships of $25,000 are awarded each year by the Spencer Foundation to support doctoral candidates in a variety of fields whose dissertations promise to contribute fresh perspectives to the history, theory, or practice of education.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to design, write, develop, and maintain Instructor led, eLearning courses/tutorials, webinars, user guides, quick reference guides, job aids, policies, procedures, and other learning and support materials for business initiatives.

* Topic: Karl will provide an update on how FedEx is creating custom self-development curricula and measuring/monitoring progress in completing the material. Attendees will also see how we are identifying ‘tipping points’ with the purpose of leveraging the energy created by learning and turning it into behavior changes that lead to performance impact.
