Workforce ADL Co-Lab Graduate Assistantship with International Paper

The Workforce Advanced Distributed Learning Co-Lab (http://workforcecolab.org) is offering a graduate assistantship (GA) position. The GA will work for International Paper (IP) through a cooperative agreement with the Co-lab. The GA will work at IP corporate headquarters in East Memphis on Poplar Avenue. The GA will work 20 hours per week. The position begins January 15th, 2008 and is for two semesters--Spring 2008 and Fall 2008. This assistantship does not cover Summer 2008.

Position Description

Manager, Library Multimedia Laboratory

General Purpose

The Library Multimedia Laboratory Manager manages, develops, coordinates, and promotes the Library Multimedia Laboratory (LML) as a learning environment and digital development area; the LML is used by campus students, faculty, and external library patrons. The LML Manager promotes and supports the effective use of current multimedia and instructional technologies in teaching and research across campus. This trained instructional designer partners with campus faculty as a technology facilitator, workshop trainer, and as designer and developer of multimedia materials (e.g., creates teaching/learning materials that support instruction). The LML Manager advises and consults with campus faculty on the development and online delivery of digital media. The LML Manager develops and evaluates multimedia and audiovisual collections to support instruction. The LML Manager designs and develops library multimedia materials for the library’s educational outreach efforts to the campus and region. The LML Manager provides guidance to faculty, staff, students, and external users in the use of technology resources and maintains computer delivery platforms in the LML.
