Position Description
Manager, Library Multimedia Laboratory
General Purpose
The Library Multimedia Laboratory Manager manages, develops, coordinates, and promotes the Library Multimedia Laboratory (LML) as a learning environment and digital development area; the LML is used by campus students, faculty, and external library patrons. The LML Manager promotes and supports the effective use of current multimedia and instructional technologies in teaching and research across campus. This trained instructional designer partners with campus faculty as a technology facilitator, workshop trainer, and as designer and developer of multimedia materials (e.g., creates teaching/learning materials that support instruction). The LML Manager advises and consults with campus faculty on the development and online delivery of digital media. The LML Manager develops and evaluates multimedia and audiovisual collections to support instruction. The LML Manager designs and develops library multimedia materials for the library’s educational outreach efforts to the campus and region. The LML Manager provides guidance to faculty, staff, students, and external users in the use of technology resources and maintains computer delivery platforms in the LML.
